There are five 18-hole golf courses in Sotogrande including Valderrama, ranked Europe’s number one course since the 1980s. Others include La Reserva Club, host of the Aramco Tour Series tournament and the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. With a tennis academy and padel courts, perfect nature trails and beaches for horse riding and biking, everything is on hand to make the most of the beautiful settings. Polo is synonymous with Sotogrande, and Santa Maria Polo Club is widely recognised as one of the foremost polo clubs in the world, with the anual Santa Maria Polo tournament hosted every summer since 1965.

Tennis and Padel
Central to the Sotogrande lifestyle, tennis and padel have been played on our sunkissed courts since 1965.
The Racquet Centre offers superb facilities alongside an array of products and coaching options. With its four competition clay courts, you can enjoy a gentle knock-up with friends or work on your game as part of a tailored training programme at our Tennis Academy.
The tennis and padel courts are open from Monday to Sunday from 7am to 11pm and can be booked online.
The Beach
The two-kilometre stretch of Playa Sotogrande is home to the Trocadero Beach Club inspired by colonial Africa, where you can soak up the sun, swim, or enjoy a poolside drink.
For hippy-chic on the beach, Chambao, Bahia Limón and Gigi’s beach are the places to be. And if you want the feeling of walking on the fine sand of Cadiz, there’s the innovative The Beach at La Reserva Club – a manmade lagoon surrounded by large loungers and Chambaos with full waiter service. Other amenities include a sports lagoon and adult pool or, if you’re after something more isolated, Bunker Beach on Playa Guadalquitón’s quiet five-kilometre stretch just west of Sotogrande.

A passion for horses
Since the beginning, Sotogrande has been known for its horse culture and outstanding equestrian facilities. Polo, dressage, eventing, cross country and show jumping are all important events on the Sotogrande sporting calendar. The two main facilities, Dressage Sotogrande and Endurance Equestrian, provide training for all the main disciplines, for beginners right through to national and international competitors. Water Sports

Tranquillity and accessibility
Easily accessible from most European cities, Sotogrande is only 1hr 15 minutes’ drive from Malaga airport, or 25 minutes from Gibraltar airport. Jerez and Seville are 1hr 15 mins and 2hrs respectively. Morocco is just 35 minutes away by fast ferry from Tarifa to Tangier.
